Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette Makeup Tutorial

16 Sep
Hey guys!
You might be asking yourselves, why is she making a video about a sold out palette? Turns out, about two months ago, ULTA exclusively brought back to life this limited edition palette from the fall of 2015, for around two weeks or so. The Self-Made palette is no longer on the market, so I made sure to grab a chance at purchasing this one.
I decided not to get the new Modern Renaissance Palette, because I already have so many shades similar to that one. So here’s a look I created using just the Self-Made Palette shadows!
I hope you enjoy this makeup tutorial, and if you subscribe to my channel, you’ll see many more looks coming up in the future!

The Highlighter Challenge

8 Jul

Hey guys!

If you haven’t heard of Mariya on YouTube, she decided to create a video using only highlighters to create a makeup look. While this started off as just an idea, other YouTubers such as Jeffree Star and Nikki Tutorials decided to make it into a challenge, where other YouTubers can show off their own choices in highlighter products and create their own videos! I happened to like this idea, so today I’m bringing you my own version, as well as my first talk through.

I usually do voice overs, but for this one, I figured I’d let my personality shine through more for my viewers, as well as have a lot of fun just messing around with highlighter products. If you haven’t subscribed to my channel yet, make sure to do so.

I hope you enjoy my Highlighter Challenge video, and have a few laughs with me as well!

October Monthly Favorites

30 Oct

Hey everyone!

It’s Halloween Eve, and October has come and gone. Where is the time going? I feel like this year has flown by so fast! Anyways, for some of you experiencing fall leaves, and beautiful weather, I on the other hand, am experiencing the same exact weather I had during summer. Welcome to the perks of living in the tropics!

Any who, I have some great products I’m loving this month! I’m such a huge fan of new discoveries, and this month I fell in love with a lippie that’s been out for quite some time now, but I never got the urgency to try. Now that I have, I wish I had tried it sooner!

Loreal La Matte Oct Fav

I found the L’Oreal Colour Riche Le Matte Lipcolour Stick in She’s so Matte to be such a beautiful warm toned lip stain. I can say this color is buildable, and looks like a rustic nude orange. The formula will wipe off a few times, and then stay put.

I usually just blot it if I want a matte look, and if not, you can wear it to its full potential intensity! It’s so amazing for fall, and it stays on for at least four hours without leaving your lips. You will have to reapply after eating though, but that’s not a big deal.

Crease Brush

I have been using my Sephora Collection #12 Classic Rounded Smudge Brush so much since I purchased it for only $7 on sale on Sephora.com. Sephora had graciously put this baby on sale, and I had to get my hands on this brush because I knew it would sell out.

Let’s just say I use this brush for everything. I use it to create a cut-crease look, to add eyeshadow under my water line, and to reach those hard to reach places on the eye without ruining other spots. They’re selling it on Amazon only now, as it is sold out on the Sephora website.

The NARS Blush in Oasis is by far my favorite blush for this fall season. I can see why it would intimidate people, as it looks like there is gold glitter in it when you first open it. I promise, this is not the case when you blend it out on your cheeks. The sparkles and glitters fade away, and you’re left with a cool toned pink/mauve color on your face. I just adore this blush, and I reach for it so much now.

Face Makeup

I got the Too Faced Rock N Roll Palette last month for my birthday, and I have to say I’ve been enjoying this palette so much. It’s the perfect palette to create beautiful looks for fall. The pigmentation is awesome on the darker shades, and I will be creating a look next month with it for you guys.

The lighter shades I can pass on though, as I have drugstore palettes that give better pigmentation for those lighter shades shown in the palette. I guess I stuck to the higher end products spectrum this month, but it was so much fun to indulge in them. It’s nice to treat yourself every once in a while!

My new favorite dry shampoo is the TIGI Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo. It smells absolutely wonderful, like citrus mist. The thing I noticed with all dry shampoos is that you must shake the bottle before spraying onto your roots.

This dry shampoo tends to leave a white cast on your hair if you do not properly shake it as instructed on the back before use. I really feel that it absorbs the oil in my hair, and I like to leave it in my roots for a few minutes before brushing the product throughout the rest of my hair.

As far as scents goes, I found a new one that I’m loving. I had never tried the PINK body mist sprays that everyone would rave about, so I decided to give it a go and I bought the scents Total Flirt and Sun Kissed.

I like Sun Kissed, but it smells as if I got a refill of my Coconut Breeze from Bath & Body Works. I swear, they are the EXACT same scent. Definitely dupes for each other, if anyone is interested in looking into that.

Total Flirt is a nice scent that smells like a dry Floral scent. It smells as if it was a perfume more than a body mist. I bought mine in a bundle, and I know they usually go for over $20. I’m happy I did get it, and can say it’s my first ever favorite PINK body mist scent!

Nail Bracelet

I did buy an imitation Cartier nail bracelet on Poshmark. It’s absolutely gorgeous, and will last me a long time, as it is made of stainless steel. I find anything made with stainless steel can last me past 5 years before it starts looking dull. It was a great investment for me, and now I wear it everywhere this fall!

That’s about it for my October favorites. Thanks so much for reading, be safe this weekend, and I hope you guys got a feel for some awesome fall products!

Sephora, Charming Charlie, & Love Culture Haul

7 Sep

Hey guys!

What girl doesn’t love to shop? I had to share the haul I did the other day, because I found some hidden gems for sure. I went to a mall about 15 minutes away from my house, and I just had at it. Yet, I think I got some good deals on all of the things I did buy. Let’s just say collectively I must have spent less than $70. Let’s get to all the goodies I found!

I went to Sephora because I ran out of my Neutrogena gel moisturizer, and I’ve heard good things about Clinique’s gel moisturizer. The price is about the same, except one is sold at the drugstore, and the other is sold at Sephora. I think Clinique is sold at some large Walgreens, but I’m not too sure as I’ve never found it near the one I regularly go to.

So I decided to get the moisturizer, and I love it. It does take a bit longer to dry on the face than the Hydro Boost, but that’s not a big deal to me. Ever since that gel moisturizer trend has begun, my skin has been so much happier than when I was using lotions. We oily-skinned girls need gel moisturizers. If you’re one of them, and still breaking out with lotion, consider switching.

Now don’t be fooled by Charming Charlie. I know their regular priced jewelry, clothes, and handbags are ridiculously expensive. Who really wants to pay $22 for a statement necklace? That’s why, I always make my way to the sales section, and when I do, I find an abundant of awesome items that are super cheap.

I bought these four necklaces, and guess how much each were? While on sale, they retailed for no more than $3.99. I thought they were gorgeous, and I was so excited to see them at this price. Definitely worth the buy. If you have a Charming Charlie by you, or want to shop online, I highly recommend it.

Finally, I went to Love Culture and I surprised myself. I actually bought four tops for $25. I usually spend so much in that store, seeing as most of their shirts are at least $14 and up. A dress there is easily $26, so it’s important to look for… say it with me… things on SALE. Call me cheap, but I love a good bargain. I know Love Culture isn’t in every area, so I suggest shopping online if you don’t have one near you!

That’s about it for this haul. I am really pleased with my purchases, and if you’d like to find some hidden treasures yourself, just visit the sites listed below. Hope you have a great rest of your week!

What’s in my makeup bag? – Summer 2015 Travel Edition

10 Jul

Happy Friday guys!

I’m off to my little vacation get away and I will be doing a blog post soon upon my return! Before leaving, I had to create a check list of all the things I’ll need, and makeup was no exception. Check out the items I selected to take with me in my makeup bag!

The place I’m going to is extremely humid, and with record breaking heat temperatures this year, I had to make sure to also stay protected by the UV rays. These is all warm climate friendly items, while being compact enough to allow me to take just enough product with me along the way, without all of the clutter.

First, let’s start off with the necessary-can’t-live-without products. If you’re traveling to a warm place for a vacation, you’re going to want to pack a small blending sponge because foundation brushes tend to be bulky (mine is a dupe that works just as good as real techniques & beauty blender original by Studio Basics). Make sure to bring a primer to hold everything together, preferably in a compact size too. I was lucky to be able to take my sample size from an Ipsy Glam bag I received. You’ll never know when those little suckers come in handy, like now.

A BB cream or foundation in tube works best for travel, as I find it’s less messy and more accessible. As far as concealer, you’re going to want that in a non-mess tube too. You can never go wrong with Instant Age Rewind by Maybelline, I guarantee you. To set the look, take a matte powder of your preference and a small powder brush to finish everything off. I love e.l.f. brushes and Rimmel London products because they are absolutely affordable and travel friendly. You’ll be just fine if you bring these with, but if you’re like me, you need a bit more product to set even the most casual look.

Since I am going to a tropical place, I love a dewy, summery look for the day time as well as night time when it’s time to sight see. I took my Mega Glo powder container that includes a two highlights and two blushes. To apply the blushes and highlights, take a small duo fibre brush, like this e.l.f. Small Stipple Brush, and apply the product. This brush is my holy grail, and it perfect for traveling. It can even blend foundation very well.

Also by e.l.f., I grabbed an SPF lip gloss in a sheer nude color with some metallic hints to it. I just love the fact that you can wear a lip gloss with SPF and kill two birds with one stone by staying protected and having a lip color on! I also wanted to take a non-SPF clear gloss to keep the lips hydrated, and this is just a minty gloss I got from a Shop Miss A haul I did. You can’t forget a bronzer when you go to a tropical place, so I brought a nice on from Sephora I bought a few years back, which I use constantly!

When going for a night time look especially, you’ll want to cater to your eye look the most. I brought two Eco Tools eye brushes that came in a set from ULTA. The fact that they are duo ended make them super convenient. As far as eye shadows, you can take small palettes like the Cover girl quad and Estee Lauder disc I took with me. Anything drug store or small will work better for travel, and will prevent you from breaking a nice big palette of beautiful colors you just didn’t want to ruin. A lot of things can happen on vacation guys! I grabbed my trestique shadow crayon sample from my Ipsy Glam bag, a sample Sephora mascara, and my favorite liquid sponge tip eyeliner from NYC to pull the eye look together.

As far as optional items you can take goes, you can bring an extra highlighter for the face if you want an even more glammed up look as well as a flat foundation brush if you’re not comfortable with a beauty blender yet, or like to blend the concealer with a brush. If you’re a girl who must have a little contouring that bronzer can’t do, NYX’s wonder stick is really a travel wonder.

There is also adding another hint of blush with cream, so if you need to, just take a stick blush! I didn’t include any brow powder because I usually don’t do much to my brows when I travel, and when I do, I add some brown matte powder from one of my palettes and throw on some brow gel. Here’s a travel-friendly simple on-the-go look I created with some of the products  I chose. Finally you can grab whatever sample perfume you have, and enjoy!

So that’s it from my makeup travel bag for this summer, I hope you liked it and got some of your own ideas for your next travel bag! Thanks so much for reading, and enjoy your weekend!
