It’s time for an awesome “Get the Look” post, and it’s about celebrating fall! My next few posts in this series will be seasonal based. Be sure to subscribe and see what’s coming up next! I’ve got everything listed below in order for you to recreate this burgundy eye look, along with lip shade suggestions.
I wanted to do a warm eye look with a cool toned lippie. If you can’t find any cool toned lip color you like, just go with your favorite plum or nude lip. I did use some Kara lashes, but those are always optional. Here are the steps I took:
Grab your transition color first. This would be a matte beige or a light skin type of color. You won’t see this color, but it will help all of the colors come together in the end.
Then you’ll start to shape your crease by working up a burgundy color to almost the brow bone.
To add some definition, you’ll want to work a darker red color into the crease only. Do not work up into any other area, keep it strictly in the crease.
Go back into the burgundy and pack on above the crease you just created, to intensify the pigment if needed.
Take a wet (if desired) flatbrush, to dip into a champagne, metallic lavender color, or whatever bright color you prefer to work with that’s going to give your lid a “pop”.
Go back to the burgundy color and work under crease a bit to blend out the lid color. Smoke out your liner with a kohl pencil for a smokey look.
Make sure to add your brow highlighter and tear duct color to clean everything up. Then you’ll want to add some of the dark red to the under eye lid for a more dramatic effect.
If you haven’t already, line your inner water line with a white pencil liner.
If you’re going to add lashes to the look, I suggest a tiny bit of black liquid liner to hide where exactly you’ve placed your lashes.
Finished the look off after you’ve applied your mascara, with a nude lip liner and a cool toned nude lip color like this one I’m in love with, the MeNow Long Lasting Lip gloss.
It’s that simple, and I hope these steps have helped you in your attempt to achieve this look. The products I used are all affordable, and easy to work with.
I hope to create more looks inspired by fall, and make sure to stay tuned to keep up with my tutorials.
